What is Kolscan? The KOL leaderboard explained

Kolscan is a free website that ranks verified memecoin traders and influencers, the KOLs, by profit, and streams their trades as they happen. It is a leaderboard, not a wallet tracker: you can look up any wallet, but you get no watchlist and no alerts. Here is how to read it, and how to get those alerts elsewhere.

How to read the Kolscan leaderboard

Kolscan ranks its KOLs (key opinion leaders: traders with an audience on X or Telegram) over a day, a week or a month. Each row packs four things.

  1. Who: The trader’s name, with links to their X and sometimes their Telegram.

  2. Wallet: The first characters of the address. Open the profile for the full one.

  3. Wins / losses: 22 won, 30 lost: not even half.

  4. Profit: +$672,234 for the day, in dollars or SOL. A few big hits are enough to lead.

What that means for the ranking

  • Survivors only

    Traders who stop winning slide down or drop off. You see who made it, not your odds.

  • Sold gains only

    Kolscan announced a realized-PnL board in November 2024: a gain counts once sold, so a losing bag still held does not.

Kolscan belongs to pump.fun, the launchpad where many of the coins it ranks are born. Useful, but not a neutral referee.

How to get alerts when a KOL buys

Kolscan shows the wallets; a tracker bot watches them for you. The address is public, so no key is involved.

  1. Open the KOL’s profile on Kolscan: the full address is in the page link (kolscan.io/account/…).
  2. Paste it into a tracker bot. Free plans: SpyBot 25 Solana wallets, Cielo 50, Raybot 10.
  3. Set a minimum trade size and, where offered, first buys only.
  4. Watch a few days before acting: compare each alert with the KOL’s sells on Kolscan.

Before you copy a KOL

The leaderboard shows results, not how to repeat them. Three traps:

  • You’re always late

    Their buy has moved the price before your order lands.

  • You may be their exit

    On thin coins, followers’ buys are often what the KOL sells into.

  • One wallet on show

    Kolscan lists one wallet per trader. Nothing stops them buying elsewhere first.

Frequently asked questions

Is Kolscan free?

Yes. Kolscan’s FAQ says all its features are free to use, and no paid plan is published. Pump.fun, which bought Kolscan in July 2025, said at the time that the service would stay free. You do not need an account or a wallet connection to read the leaderboard.

Is Kolscan a wallet tracker?

Only for its own list. Kolscan streams the trades of the KOLs it has verified and ranks them by profit, and its search shows the recent history of any wallet. Its site has no watchlist and no alerts. Kolscan announced a partnership with Nova, a Telegram bot, for wallet alerts in February 2025; tracker bots such as SpyBot, Cielo or Raybot do that job too.

How do I get on the Kolscan leaderboard?

Kolscan’s FAQ asks for more than $100,000 of profit in recent months, and for your wallet to be sent to its X account, @kolscan, for verification. An Apply as KOL button sits in the site’s header. Kolscan does not publish how long verification takes, or how the rank is computed beyond profit over the period.

Can I track any wallet on Kolscan?

You can look it up. Kolscan’s search takes any address, KOL or not, but its FAQ says the data is first limited to the last 100 transactions unless you load more. There is no follow button and no alert: to watch a wallet that is not on the leaderboard, add it to a wallet tracker.

Who owns Kolscan?

Pump.fun, the Solana memecoin launchpad. It announced the purchase in July 2025 as its first acquisition, shortly before its PUMP token sale, and Kolscan’s header now promotes the Pump app. The leaderboard is therefore run by the platform where many of the tracked tokens are launched.

What are the best Kolscan alternatives?

It depends on the job. For alerts on KOL wallets, SpyBot adds a Top Traders directory to its Telegram alerts, with a free plan of 25 Solana wallets; Cielo and Raybot also track wallets for free. To know who is behind a wallet, Nansen claims more than 500 million labeled addresses.
