How to track a whale wallet on Telegram

What a Telegram whale wallet tracker actually watches

These tools read public blockchain data. SpyBot, Cielo and Ray all state that they work with public addresses only; none of them needs access to the wallet you are watching, and none of them can move the watched funds.

The depth of the feed is what separates them. SpyBot documents alerts on swaps, transfers, token launches (pump.fun and others), Meteora DLMM liquidity and limit orders, with more than 50 filters that can be global or set wallet by wallet: trade size, market cap, token age, first buy only. Ray documents 90+ transaction types and multi-wallet signals when several of your tracked wallets buy the same token.

That filtering layer is the actual product. A raw feed of every transfer from a whale wallet is unreadable within a day; a feed that only fires on first buys above a given size, in a given market-cap band, is a watchlist you can act on.

None of these tools needs anything more than a public address, which is the safety property to check first: a service that asks for your seed phrase or your private key to watch a wallet is not doing what a tracker does.

Step 1 — add the wallet and set the filters

Start with the free tier and check the quota against the size of your watchlist. SpyBot’s free plan covers 25 Solana wallets and 10 EVM wallets with 1,000 alerts a day; Cielo’s covers 250 EVM and 50 Solana wallets with 120 alerts an hour; Ray’s covers 10 Solana or Tron wallets and 50 EVM wallets with 1,000 alerts a day.

Then narrow the feed before it narrows your attention. On SpyBot, filters apply per wallet or globally, so you can follow one whale for launches only and another for large transfers only. On Ray, the transaction-type list is the filter.

1. Copy the public address from the chain explorer, not from a screenshot or a forwarded message.
2. Add it to one tracker first, and keep the free tier until you know how noisy the wallet is.
3. Set a minimum trade size in dollars, a market-cap band and, where available, first buys only.
4. Remove wallets that generate alerts you never act on; each one is consuming part of your daily alert quota.

Step 2 — decide where the alerts arrive, and what they cost

Telegram is the default channel for most of the trackers here, but not for all of them. SpyBot delivers to Telegram and its own app, with no public API or webhooks documented. Cielo adds Discord. Ray includes Telegram, Discord, webhooks and a REST API on the free plan.

Prices are split between SOL and dollars, and the SOL-priced plans move with the price of SOL. SpyBot starts at 0.05 SOL a month (Crab, then Fish 0.1, Dolphin 0.2, Shark 0.4, Whale 0.8) and reaches 1,000 Solana plus 500 EVM wallets, with a year costing the price of five months. Ray starts at 0.08 SOL a month and tops out at 0.6 SOL, with card payment accepted. Cielo bills in dollars: $59 a month for Pro and $199 for Whale, the most expensive plan in the series.

The comparison to make is wallets per unit of cost, not the headline price. Cielo’s free plan is the largest of the three by wallet count, and its paid plans are also the priciest; SpyBot and Ray are cheap but quote in SOL.

Step 3 — from the alert to an actual position

A tracker does not have to stay a spectator. SpyBot documents one-tap Solana buys and sells from the alert, routed through Jupiter, using an optional non-custodial wallet whose key you can export, at 1% per trade. Cielo documents quick buy and copy trading from the same screen as its alerts.

Ray documents no quick buy at all, so its alerts end at the decision, not the execution. Nansen shows a different split again: its alerts stay in-app, and its built-in trading uses a non-custodial wallet operated with Privy.

If you plan to act on alerts, the useful question is not whether quick buy exists but what it charges and what it holds: SpyBot’s one-tap wallet is optional, non-custodial and exportable, and the 1% is charged per trade like any trading bot.

What a Solana whale alert bot on Telegram cannot tell you

It cannot tell you why. A tracker shows a transfer, a swap or a first buy; it does not show intent, and a whale moving tokens to an exchange looks the same as a whale preparing to sell.

Some gaps are structural. SpyBot documents no public API or webhooks, and no native mobile app. Ray documents no wallet-owner labels, so it can tell you what a wallet did but not who owns it; that is Nansen’s ground, with 500M+ labeled addresses and a Smart Money tier. Cielo’s documentation still shows lower limits than its homepage, which is worth checking before you pay.

Free tiers have traps of their own. Drops Bot’s free plan only alerts on swaps above $1,000, and it documents no wallet PnL or labels. Kolscan is free with no login and shows KOL trades within seconds, but sends no alerts of any kind, so the page has to stay open.

And where prices are in SOL, your subscription cost is exposed to the SOL market, as both SpyBot and Ray state in their own cards.
